We serve Burke, Jenkins & Screven Counties and the entire CSRA of Georgia & South Carolina, but we welcome inquires from other areas of Georgia as well as out of state inquires. Transport can be arranged in some cases.

My name is Sporty! I came to the shelter when I was a baby of 4 months old. The people who had me didn't want me anymore so they surrendered me to the local rescue. I'm glad they did but I sure wish I had my own family and home. Lots of my friends have found homes and Miss Samantha gets so happy when she sees updates on them and how happy they are. I got "neutered" and now I don't get in trouble like I did before, now I just want to play and have fun! I wish I could find someone who likes to go to the lake because here at the rescue I have a kiddie pool and I love to get in it and lie down...Mom says this is the "lab in me". She thinks I am a lab rottweiler mix and she isn't sure if someone cut off my tail or I was born this way! I love all my friends here and Kit Kat the only cat here. Mom calls him "the dog whisperer", but I think he thinks he's one of us! I haven't been around many children but I bet I would love them, especially if they were around 10 years old or so and would take me with them fishing and swimming and would play fetch with me. I'm about 11 months old now and I'm housebroken and love to go in my crate when I get tired and just sleep. Miss Samantha leaves the door to my crate open and I can go there anytime I want to. Where I lived when I was little, they made me stay outside all the time. It's so nice to have a place where I can come inside when I want to. I am a medium doggie, I'm not to big and not too little. I weigh about 40 lbs. If you would like to meet me, please e-mail Miss Samantha, my mom for now and she will send you a pre-adoption application and you can set up a time to come to meet me. Mom makes sure we all go to good homes and she likes to let "us" have a part in picking our new family! Come meet me soon because Summer is almost here and I sure would like to go to the lake or have a nice pond to swim in and someone to show just what a "Good Boy" I am! ...and oh, I forgot...I can sit and shake hands too! I'm so glad I got to be the featured pet of the week...I love my mom and my friends here at the rescue but I would love my own home and family more! Love, Sporty
